Hi, I am Jakub Žanony, young multidisciplinary designer from Slovakia. Over the years I have developed a strong passion for form and function, I am a strong believer in the importance of compositon and good proportions. My designs are simple and functional with small jokes sprinkled in that makes them more human and personal. In my spare time I mostly enjoy film photography as I love the feeling of using old mechanical cameras and focus on haptics that went into their design. When i am taking photos, I am free to fully immerse myself in the moment and focus purely on composing the frame. Feel free to contact me!

Camera prototype no.01
Nowadays, everybody has a camera in their pocket and takes a lot of pictures without thinking about why they are taking them and just creating image spam in their gallery, just because the technology allows it, but film has a limited number of photos and thus adds a deeper value to think carefully what to capture. In doing so, I wanted to elevate this dying medium with a new design to appeal to younger users. I chose the large format lens route in conjunction with roll film, for more affordable developing with a resulting format of 6x12cm. All of this was made possible by the 3D printing technology from which I would also be making the final product. At the moment the camera is semi-functional in the development stage.
